Full-size luxury SUVs like the Cadillac Escalade are brimming with premium quality. From jacked-up performance to an absurdly comfortable cabin, a Cadillac Escalade can be your roving paradise whenever you hop in behind the wheel. The Escalade is a smart choice, but what about the Cadillac Escalade IQ? How does the regular Escalade compare to the IQ? Find out right here in Zanesville.
Difference in Pirce vs Value
Pricing can make all the difference when you are choosing between two full-size SUVs. Expect the gas-only Cadillac Escalade to start around $90,000, while the Cadillac Escalade IQ can be around $130,000. That's a big difference, costing you anywhere from $30,000 to $40,000 more to bring home the Cadillac Escalade IQ. Both are high in value, regardless of the final price of your purchase. If you want to sell your Escalade down the line, you will receive a high return from your investment.
How They Drive
As some of the most well-built full-size luxury SUVs around, you can expect the Escalade and Escalade IQ to drive very well. However, there are some differences.
Cadillac Escalade
The Cadillac Escalade is easy to maneuver despite its size, and provides a glassy-smooth ride for relaxing drives around Lancaster, OH. Even with a larger body, the Escalade can reach 60 MPH in about 6.0 seconds, quicker than many would expect. That speed comes from either the 420-horsepower V8 or the 682-horsepower supercharged V8 engine.
The Escalade's glassy ride is due in part to the premium interior comfort. Find faux leather in the base trim and extra-soft semi-aniline in every other trim. Aluminum speaker grilles, a leather-covered dashboard and door panels, and adjustable ambient interior lighting all combine to create an easy drive; your kids will fall asleep within minutes of getting on the road.
Cadillac Escalade IQ
The Cadillac Escalade IQ is an EV, prioritizing electric power over a combustion engine. This means you can expect 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque from its electric motors and all-wheel drive. Enjoy a silky smooth ride and swifter acceleration, reaching 60 MPH in 4.5 seconds.
Beyond the smooth performance, the Escalade IQ offers a similar premium interior experience. Find leather everywhere, with ambient interior lighting and polished aluminum accents. The Escalade IQ offers four additional inches of legroom and one more inch of headroom in the rear third row, providing slightly more space to get comfortable.
Fuel Efficiency
Efficiency is a big point for many shoppers. You can expect an EPA-estimated rating of 15 MPG in the city, 19 MPG on the highway, and 17 MPG combined for the gas-powered Escalade. While the EPA does not measure the Cadillac Escalade IQ, other sources, such as Car and Driver, estimated 59 MPGe combined. That is a big difference. Those ratings lead to up to 432 miles of total driving range for the Escalade, and up to 460 miles of driving range for the Escalade IQ.
